A day in the life of a student at BloomTech is all about building and hands-on experiences.
We maintain a flexible schedule so that you can do this work in your morning, afternoon, or evening. Live instruction is critical to your success as we look at the competency assessments together.
You should plan to attend every session but if you can’t, watching the recording will help you keep up with the group. We don’t hold classes on the weekend to allow for catching up at speed.
9am - 1pm PST
For the best learning experience possible, we provide flexible, self-guided time to review the day’s curriculum. While this time is self-guided, we have incredible support structures if you get blocked with our AI Learnbot, Live Chat Support, and community channels to lean into.
1pm - 2pm PST
Meet with our industry expert instructors to walk through hands-on coding experiences based on the curriculum you need to progress through the program to earn a job.
2pm - 2:15pm PST
Attend standup to review where you are in your learning journey, look to the coming days to know what to study, and review the schedule with one of our learning assistants to plan out the next days learning goals.
2:15pm - 6pm PST
Use this time to build the projects that are associated with your learning objectives. There is no better way to learn how to code, than to build projects. This is where the real growth happens!

At BloomTech we provide all-day support as you work through the content, projects, and assessments. We utilize AI with a brand new LearnBot that can help unblock you at any hour of the day. We have live chat services with our learning assistants throughout the business day, and you will gain incredible relationships with yoru peers as you work together to solve problems throughout your time at BloomTech.
Career support begins as soon as you enroll in BloomTech and continues until you accept a well paying job offer.
As a Lead Instructor at BloomTech, Warren's focus is on live instruction, working with learners one-on-one and helping to refine BloomTech's advanced React curriculum. Warren has been in the software development industry for over a decade, including roles at Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Vanguard Animation. Most recently, he has served as a senior web developer with a focus on React applications. When not engaging in software development, Warren has maintained a deep connection with computer science education through instruction and serious games research. This has included consulting positions with University of Penn, Littlebird Games and LaunchCode.org.
Pace has worked for the past two years as one of BloomTech's Web Development Instructors in Unit 1: Web Fundamentals, providing the first introduction for new learners to the vast curriculum. Pace comes from a background in software development in both internal and contracted web and mobile applications, focusing on accounting, consumer finance, and e-commerce. He operates his own software development agency at nuclius.com and regularly hires BloomTech graduates in project management and software development roles. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three kids.
Ben is one of BloomTech's web instructors, and has been teaching BloomTech for over a year now. During the day he works as a software engineer at a fintech company working on high availability. Before the pandemic, Ben was really into exploring programming languages such as StandardML, Racket, Haskell, etc. These days he has been really enjoying walks with his wife and foraging— a new hobby.
Rachel manages the career coaching team at BloomTech, which supports all graduates in landing high-paying tech roles. Before BloomTech, she built up the career and placement function at the Data Science Institute at Columbia University. Her past life is in technical recruiting, by way of Axiom Law & HBO. Marygrace came to BloomTech after 8 years of working in traditional university settings with learners of all ages and backgrounds. She earned a Master's degree in Education at San Francisco State University, and has a deep interest in equity in education. Who has access to the tools and skills to build a better life? How do we address inequities and build a world where all can thrive? BloomTech fits perfectly in this view - creating opportunities for folks to change their life circumstances. In her spare time, she hangs out with her spouse and two kids, plays computer games, and crochets.
Cynthia manages operations for the Learner Success Team at BloomTech which supports Learners as they optimize their learning potential. Prior to joining BloomTech she worked in student affairs for 15 years building academically-based retention programs for universities and K-12 districts. She earned a Master's degree in Education at Portland State University focusing on creating collaborative, sustainable practices that advance equity and social justice in communities. She lives in the Atlanta area with her husband and two daughters.
